An American Artist
Classically trained for classic design.
Andrew developed his Art in Baltimore and matured in New York City.
Baltimore is a unique city, brimming with character and contrast. Andrew dove into the experience. He was trained in photorealism and life drawing by Michael Economos and in French glaze painting by Carl Connolly. Jim Hennessey and Joe Shannon rounded out his experience with a focus on straight-forward modern figure painting.
Andrew had the opprortunity to develop his own style in New York City, when he participated in the juried, New York Studio Program; a joint effort of the New School for Social Research and Parson's School of Design.
When he returned to Massachusetts it's history of craftsmanship inspired him to explore.
